Emily Barber is an aerial performer, coach, and professional gravity-defier from southern Colorado. She’s also the founder of Aerial Aura, because clearly one circus obsession wasn’t enough.
Emily holds a BA in political science—which mostly comes in handy when negotiating with rigging points, airline baggage limits, and the laws of physics. She survives primarily on thick Turkish coffee and the thrill of waking up in countries she’s never been to before (jet lag is just part of the aesthetic).
Shortly after graduating college and realizing office chairs were far too close to the ground, Emily started training on aerial straps. From there she escalated—silks, hoop, trapeze, and basically anything that lets her dangle dramatically above people. Emily performs year-round, creating solo and duo routines on silks, hoop, trapeze, and straps that combine strength, grace, and the occasional “please don’t drop me” moment.
When not performing, Emily can be found coaching at studios in Colorado Springs, helping the next generation of aerialists develop strength, artistry, and a healthy disregard for normal human activities like standing on the ground.

Sierra Porreco began her athletic career as a competitive gymnast, which means she spent most of her childhood upside down and decided that felt correct. In her early 20s she transitioned into the aerial world while still coaching competitive gymnastics—because apparently gravity had not challenged her enough yet. These days she coaches and performs on a variety of aerial apparatuses and has recently begun diving headfirst (sometimes literally) into the world of ground acrobatics.
Sierra has also performed on the television show Star Search, proving that her ability to defy gravity holds up just as well under bright lights and TV cameras as it does in the studio.
When she’s not hanging from something, flipping over something, or teaching someone else how to do both safely-ish, Sierra can usually be found playing with her dog, Kiwi (who is arguably the real star of the household), scrolling the internet for the newest and most aggressively sparkly glitter makeup, or dominating unsuspecting opponents in Mario Kart.

Brooke Lyons discovered aerial arts early in life and immediately decided that it was way better than normal sports or hobbies. Brooke has won and placed in national aerial competitions on straps and silks, and she continues to perform and train at a highest level. She currently works across multiple apparatuses though straps remain her one true love—the aerial equivalent of choosing the most difficult option and saying, “Yes, that one.”
Outside of aerial, Brooke is a passionate artist and a dedicated animal lover. In her free time you can usually find her drawing, crocheting, or hanging out with her dogs—who are very supportive of her aerial career as long as it occasionally results in treats.
Brooke is working to become a marine zoologist, and is currently living her best ocean-loving life in Florida working at a wildlife rescue, where she helps care for sea turtles and manatees.
